Members of the public are invited to hear representatives from Police Scotland, Highland Councillors and Scottish Fire and Rescue discuss local issues.

The discussion will form the Eilean A’ Cheò Ward Forum and will provide updates and answer questions on topical matters.

Chaired by Councillor John Finlayson, the Forum will start with a question and answer session with Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on local operations.

This will be followed by updates from the Council’s Community Services team on the condition and maintenance of local roads and a session focussing on the areas’ public toilets and comfort schemes.

The final topic, lead by the Council’s Development and Infrastructure team, will provide an update on statutory planning consultation, roles and responsibilities for community councils.

Councillor Finlayson hopes people take up this opportunity to come along. He said: “This is a great chance to find out from the council and our partners about priorities and the work taking place across the area.  Everyone is welcome.”

The Forum takes place on Monday 25 June from 2pm to 4pm at Tigh Na Sgire. Any questions from the public relating to the topics being discussed should be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by Friday 15 June.
