Plans to complete re-open the Sleat's Ord Road after repair work to a collapsing culvert have been put back.

Highland Council had hoped to have finished all the work on Friday (Nov 25) but now the local community has been notified that it will be the the middle of this week before it is fully operational.

The new timetable is as follows:

Monday 28th Nov. 10:00am – 17:00pm an informal closure to enable the road crew to conclude the second part of the works i.e. excavation and installation of the new culvert pipe.

Tuesday 29th Nov 10:00am – 17:00pm an informal closure is again applied to enable continued work with headwall construction etc.

Wednesday 30th Nov 10:00am – 17:00pm The road is expected to reopen to traffic without further disruption other than as would be expected for surfacing.
