Just days afer announcing the disappointment of missing out on funds for an exciting local project, Glendale Trust has again got something to smile about

For Glendale's IT project coordinator, Catriona Canning, has received funds from The Allen Lane Foundation to see the continuation of the popular IT project.

Announcing the news, local development officer, Elizabeth Macleod, said: "The Trust was instrumental in sourcing the original funding for the IT project when it started.

"The project employs one part time member of staff and delivers twice weekly IT drop in sessions. Over 60 adult members of the community have benefited from the assistance of the IT project. The project also provides free WIFI at the Glendale Community Hall which has been secured until 2017.

She added: "The project has also included a schools outreach programme covering internet safety and coding and has held events such as digital treasure hunts for local and visiting children."
