Up for sale

Just weeks after two Skye hotels were put on the market a third has gone up for sale.

Earlier this month the Kings Arms in Kyleakin and the three star rated Dunollie Hotel in Broadford were seeking new owners. Now one of island’s oldest establishments, the Ardvasar Hotel in Sleat, which dates back to the 1800s, has been put up for sale after long-time owner Richard Jeffrey decided to retire.

Mr Jeffrey, who has been in the hospitality sector for about 40 years, has appointed business property adviser Christie & Co to sell the 10 bedroom premises.

The hotel, which overlooks the Sound of Sleat with a view out to the Knoydart mountains beyond, has been owned and operated by Mr Jeffrey for 15 years.
