Singing, sailing and walking - not to mention the odd tasty treat or two - will combine in Portree this week-end
On Saturday 1 October, Atlas Arts will signal the end of the Singing for the Sea film installation that the Skye Sailing Club have been hosting. To mark the event an afternoon of workshops, music and fun is planned at the clubhouse on the north shore of Portree harbour.
Details of the event, which runs from 1pm-4.30pm are as follows:

1.35pm – singer and artist Siôn Parkinson
2.00pm – writer and poet Rody Gorman
2.30pm – singer Amme Martin
3.15pm – pipers Frieda and Dougal
3.30pm – songwriter and sound artist Hector MacInnes
There will also be:
Sea Shanty workshop – 1.30pm – 2.30pm
Haiku Guided Walk – 3.00pm – 4.30pm
The film installation Singing for the Sea will also be available to watch throughout the afternoon.
It's all for free and Portree RNLI will run their barbecue and Skye Sailing Club will sell drinks and cake.
