Work has begun on the first of four projects to improve travel on the A87.
Motorists can expect daytime delays along the stretch involving some 1.3km of carriageway from just north of Broadford Cemetery. The resurfacing work is expected to continue through until Friday 30 September.
For the safety of the workforce and road users, a convoy system of traffic management will be in operation while the improvements are being carried out.
Works will take place between 7am and 7pm during weekdays with no work programmed over the weekend.
The resurfacing is part of £1.25m worth of improvements which are being carried out by Bear Scotland over the coming months.
