TWO hotels – including one of the island’s oldest – have gone up for sale on Skye.
The Bespoke Hotels chain owned Kings Arms in Kyleakin and the three star rated Dunollie Hotel in Broadford are now with marketing agents looking for potential buyers.
The Kings Arms was built in the 17th century, making it one of the oldest on Skye. It has 81 en-suite bedrooms, a lounge, bar and restaurant and although currently operated only seasonally the sellers suggest there is scope to extend the opening hours into the winter months.
Meanwhile, the Dunollie Hotel, which is the second largest accommodation operator in Broadford, has 86 bedrooms as well as a restaurant, lounge and two bars. It dates from the early-1900s and has a waterside location with views over the bay.
