Glenelg's Way Out West Picturehouse is offering an entertainment experience which is ..well...nothing to turn your nose up at!

For one day only the non profit cinema across the water from Skye a joining in the UK wide celebrations of Roald Dahl's 100th Birthday by holding a Scratch N' Sniff screening of Matilda.

Audience members each get a special edition scratch card encapsulated with 10 specially created smells.  At certain points throughout the screening we prompt the audience to scratch and sniff along with the film.  Some nice and nasty smells await!

For the picture house, Kate Wieteska, said: "As part of Film Hub Wales’ Roald Dahl on Film season we’re bringing a brand new sensory cinematic experience right to your doorstep. We’ll be screening Danny DeVito’s timeless adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Matilda, but for the first time you won’t just be watching this classic, you’ll be smelling it!

"Matilda is the tale of an extraordinary little girl with magical powers, her horrible parents, a kindly teacher and a monstrous headmistress. Those who do wrong must be taught a lesson, and Matilda decides to teach the erring adults that every child is extra-special, and that wicked people will always be punished."

The extra special cinematic experience takes place from 3pm-5pm on Saturday 17 September with tickets priced at  £7.50 / £5 which can be obtained by following the link here

Kate added; "Dressing up is very much encouraged. Prizes will be given!"
