Glendale Trust want to get the go ahead to bring the local Pooltiel Pier and slipway back into full use.

They are seeking planning permission which, if successful, would see essential repairs and an extension to the low water mark carried out. The extended slipway would then provide safe access to the water at all times.

In addition a new pontoon would be provided and these works, the Trust believe, wold provide “Walk Ashore” access for potential tourism based operations such as sightseeing, fishing and diving. Currently the slipway and pier are only used for commercial fishing and occasional recreational users.

As part of the plans the car park would also be resurfaced and landscaped.
