A damaged wooden electricity pole has been identified as the cause of yesterday's power cut (Tuesday 12 November.)
The power went off at 1:05pm yesterday and was finally restored at 10:41pm.
A spokesperson for the SSEN told Skye Times Online: "Our engineers have identified a damaged wooden electricity pole and are carrying out repairs to this pole as we speak.
"We will temporarily isolate power as this repair is finalised, and our teams are calling affected customers to let them know.
"As per the statement yesterday, we'd like to apologise for any inconvenience this fault caused and thank our customers for their patience as we worked to restore supplies as quickly as possible."
