A public meeting to discuss concerns over Bank of Scotland closures has been scheduled for Wednesday September 7 at 7pm in Broadford Village Hall.  Invitations have been given to HBOS representatives, local Councillors and MSPs.

The announcement that the Bank of Scotland intended to close its branches in Broadford and Lochcarron has raised local concerns.  The meeting, hosted by Broadford and Strath Community Council, is intended to allow people to put their questions to the HBOS representatives.

Both branches had been operating on a reduced hour basis in recent years and are set to finally close their doors in November.  Customers of the Broadford and Lochcarron branches will then have their accounts transferred to the Kyle Branch.

All are welcome to attend the meeting.
