Skye shone at the Scotsman Food & Drink Awards, held yesterday (Monday 23 September) in Edinburgh.
Edinbane Lodge won in the 'Best Use of Scottish Produce' category.
The award was accepted by Head Chef, Calum Montgomery, who was also nominated in the 'Best New Talent' category.
Speaking at the awards, Calum paid tribute to his staff saying: “The last year has been an incredible journey but this is a really special moment for us. I’m delighted to receive it on behalf of our amazing chefs and front of house staff who make Edinbane Lodge such a special place.” We have the most amazing ingredients on Skye and showcasing them is a pleasure and a privilege."
Shirley Spear, former owner of the Three Chimneys restaurant, also received recognition for her outstanding contribution to the restaurant industry. Calum stated: "Shirley has been a longstanding ambassador for food on Skye and this is a very timely and fitting tribute for her many achievements over the last 30 years. We wish her a very long and happy retirement."
Skye's Stein Inn was nominated in the 'Hidden Gem' category, but ultimately lost out to the Colonsay Pantry.
