2019 could be the "busiest ever" for the Skye Mountain Rescue Team.

The MRT have completed their 47th call out this year, just two less than last year.

Sunday 18 August saw the team carry out two rescues in "terrible conditions."

A 12-hour search was carried out for a Spanish man on Bla Bheinn.

Fifteen team members were involved in the rescue.

The man had become separated from his companions and finally was located.

The second call out saw four members of the team assist two German visitors on the Trotternish Ridge.
