A survey on the fares policy across the CalMac ferry network is currently being undertaken.

Transport Scotland introduced the policy, known as Road Equivalent Tariff (RET), in October 2015.  RET is a consistent set of passenger and car fares across all routes based on a fixed fare plus distance based element.

Research is being undertaken into how this fares policy has affected residents of island and peninsular communities.

Sconser to Raasay and Armadale to Mallaig routes are among those on which RET was introduced.

A survey for residents can be found here.  A survey for business owners can be found here.

Surveys must be completed by Friday 6 September.
