A man was rescued after his dinghy capsized yesterday afternoon (Sunday 30 June.)
The incident took place in the Inverinate area of Loch Duich.
A passing vessel picked the casualty out of the water and transported him and the upturned dinghy to the shore.
Kyle RNLI were called out to assist at 1:11pm, along with the Coastguard helicopter and Kyle Coastguard Rescue Team. The lifeboat crew made contact with the vessel and made sure that the casualty had not suffered any injuries, before standing by to ensure they made it to shore safely.
Speaking of the incident, a Kyle RNLI spokesperson said: "The weather was deteriorating, however the gentleman who was in the water was well prepared and was wearing a lifejacket which helped keep him afloat until he was picked up by the boat which was passing by."
