'Significant staffing issues' could result in Sleat Surgery having no reception cover on Fridays after 3pm.

NHS Highland Practice Manager, Liz Dobson, noted that there currently are issues with both GP cover and admin staff.

This is likely to result in there being no reception cover after 3pm at Sleat Surgery on a Friday.

Liz explained: "Patients can still phone the surgery and they will be put through to Broadford who will be able to deal with their enquiry, make appointments, get information about results, etc. but only folk with pre-booked appointments on a Friday should come to the surgery that afternoon.

"Those folk wishing to collect prescriptions before the weekend should do so before 3pm on a Friday please.

"From June, Dr Whitney will be working in Sleat on Mon/Tues/Thurs from 9-3pm, appointments will be mainly in the morning.

"For urgent appointments after 3pm there will be a GP and ANP at Broadford. There will be dispensing/reception service till 6pm those days."
