Over 100 riders will be on the roads of Skye later this month taking part in the island’s now annual Cyclosportive event.

Split into two distances, the 95 mile Skye Mor, which has attracted 81 riders and the shorter, but still tough, Skye Beag at 48 miles and with 31 competitors the riders will all be hoping for better weather than 2015 when high winds made for difficult conditions.

Both events take place on Saturday 27 August beginning at Portree High School.

So far Cuillin Wheel cycle club members from Skye, Simon Hammond and James Stephenson have put in entries for the 95 mile ride.
