An eight-berth motor home facility could be coming to south Skye, if a joint planning application submitted to Highland Council gets the go-ahead.
Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and Sleat Community Trust submitted the application to build the new facility on land behind the Ionad Iain Nobail /Iain Noble Building.
The application for planning follows the submission for funding to the Rural Tourism Infrastructure Fund for Scotland which was launched in 2017. The facility will accommodate 8 motor homes with electrical hook-ups, chemical waste disposal, potable water supply and an accessible toilet.
It is planned to locate the site adjacent to the first two houses of the Kilbeg development at Rathad MhicGuaire. It is expected that the Planning Application could take around three months and the decision on whether funding is approved for the project around July.
