NHS Highland are seeking more staff members in the Skye area.
The NHS say they are looking for staff nurses (Band 5) and nursing assistants (Band 2) as part of a new initiative to support an integrated team approach to patient care.
The positions will give applicants the chance to work in both a community hospital as well as a community setting, dependent on experience and training needs.
Kate Earnshaw, NHS Highland’s district manager for Skye, Lochalsh and West Ross, said: “We have introduced an innovative integrated team model to improve care across the North Skye community that includes all our health and social care services (e.g. Acute, Community, Primary Care and Adult Social Care).
“These flexible, posts will be part of the new team that will be able to offer opportunities to align services, create different service models and add value to ‘journeys of care’ to meet the needs of the North Skye community.”
In addition, NHS Highland is also looking for a domestic/catering assistant (Band 2) for Portree Hospital/Broadford Hospital to assist with catering and cleaning duties across both sites.
Shift patterns for nursing assistants will be required to meet the needs of the service.
