A yellow ‘be aware’ warning for heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office, covering Skye throughout the day on Saturday (November 3rd).

The warning suggests that extremely wet conditions are highly likely, with spray and flooding on the roads making journey times longer and with likely impacts on bus and rail travel.

The warning period lasts from midnight to midnight, describing heavy rain spreading from the west on Friday evening, lasting for much of Saturday, before slowly clearing from the northwest. 30-50mm is expected quite widely, especially on high ground with 60-80mm possible in a few areas.
