Raasay's popular newsletter, Am Bratach, has ended for the foreseeable future.
The Editorial Team published the final edition for October, along with a farewell note.
"We've had a fantastic two years running this project as volunteers, but lives and circumstances change and our numbers have been steadily dwindling to the point that the production of Am Bratach has become impossible to sustain," the team stated.
"One person volunteering to edit every now and again will not solve the problem. The project desperately needs a team of people who can contribute to the range of activities that keep Am Bratach going. This includes the editing but it also includes organising Editorial Team meetings, fielding emails, issuing and chasing invoices, managing the mailing list, printing publications, writing, proofing and transcribing articles and most importantly, being aspirational about how best we can serve our readers and the Raasay community."
The Editorial Team plan to raise the issues with the community at the Raasay Development Trust's AGM. If enough volunteers can be found, production of Am Bratach could begin again in 2019.
"Starting afresh might mean that we look at how frequently we publish Am Bratach or the type of contents we focus on offering," stated the team. "Your feedback would be greatly appreciated – please let us know if you will miss Am Bratach and if so, what aspect of it will you miss?"
