Over £2,000 has been raised thanks to a charity walk in south Skye.

Rhona Campbell, Mary MacDonald and Marrion Grant walked 15 miles for Motor Neuron Disease (MND) Scotland.

Carlotta Graham accompanied the ladies part of the way during the Ord to Tarskavaig stretch.

Rhona stated: "I feel motivated to do this because MND Scotland is a most worthy cause.  It provides care, information and research funding for all people affected by MND living in Scotland. I'm sure many of you know or have known family and/or  friends affected by this illness."

She later told The Skye Times: "Our final total is now £2,043.  I'm extremely grateful to everyone who donated, feeling overwhelmed by their kindness.  The walk was a great experience."
