Ferry disruption over the weekend is giving an unusual look to ferry services from Uig today (Monday 8th August)

Because of a forecast of high winds in Mallaig, an amended timetable will operate as follows for the Lord of the Isles ferry in the Calmac fleet, connecting Uig directly with Lochboisdale in South Uist as well as with Lochmaddy in North Uist. And travellers to/from South Uist expecting to depart from Mallaig - or arrive there - will face an additional journey across Skye.

Today the Lord of the Isles will:

Depart Lochboisdale: 0700

Arrive Uig: 1000

Depart Uig: 1030

Arrive Lochmaddy: 1230

Depart Lochmaddy: 1300

Arrive Uig: 1500

Depart Uig: 1530

Arrive Lochboisdale: 1830

In addition, the Hebrides is due to sail from Lochmaddy to Uig at 03:00
