Bad weather forced the cancellation of the week-end's planned Round Raasay event.
Skye Sailing Club decided that with winds expected to freshen to a level that would not be suitable for many of the smaller boats hoping to take part coupled with the difficulty for visiting crew to return home after the event meant that the race officer believed it in the best interest of the race, and those hoping to take part, to postpone.
However, the event is now being re-arranged for this coming week-end, Saturday, 13th August.
Individual boat start times and the sailing instructions will not change, only the date.
The Club said: "While not ideal for all, we hope that the best interests of the majority are well served by this decision and the advance warning will mean late disruption to weekend plans can be minimised."
