A fierce blaze has led to the road between Sligachan and Drynoch being closed today (Sunday 27 May.)
Thick smoke has engulfed the hillside and forest in the Crossal area.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is currently in attendance at a wildfire on Isle of Skye.
"Operations Control mobilised three fire engines to Sligachan Hotel Road, Carbost after the call came in at 9.51am on Sunday, May 27.
"Firefighters are currently extinguishing 200 metres of heath land on fire and will remain on scene until the area is made safe."
The road will remain closed until the area is safe to drive through.
