Armadale to Mallaig sailings are disrupted due to a technical fault, say CalMac.

MV Loch Bhrusda has developed a technical fault with her forward main engine and has therefore been withdrawn from the Mallaig-Armadale service while she is fully assessed for repairs.

In the meantime, the MV Loch Fyne will continue to provide six return sailings a day.

MV Loch Bhrusda was providing three return sailings (11:00/13:30/15:20 out of Mallaig and 12:15/14:40/16:35 out of Armadale) which are now cancelled.

CalMac say it will likely be Thursday 10 May before MV Loch Bhrusda is returned to service.

A list of cancelled sailings is below:

Tuesday 8th May

The following sailings have also been cancelled for Tuesday the 8th of May due to an ongoing technical issue:-

From Mallaig:- 1100hrs, 1330hrs & 1520

From Mallaig:- 1100, 1330 & 1520
From Armadale:- 1215, 1440 & 1635

We are currently working hard to resolve this technical issue and CalMac will be keeping customers updated daily.

Thursday 3rd May - Sunday 13th May

Due to the overrun of essential vessel repairs, resulting in the redeployment of vessels on the network, the following sailings will be operating with a smaller vessel at reduced capacity.  These sailings are not suitable for Coaches or HGV's:

From Mallaig: 1100, 1330 (1300 on Sundays) and 1520
From Armadale: 1215, 1440 and 1635

Please note all scheduled sailings operated by the MV Loch Fyne remain unaffected, coaches and previously booked traffic have been moved onto alternative sailings where possible and customers will be contacted.

For further information the local offices can be contacted on - Mallaig 01687 310240 or Armadale 01471 250090 (option 2).
