Exciting and ambitious plans to create a community woodland campsite in Broadford have taken a significant step forward.
The Broadford and Strath Community Company, who are behind the project, are now looking to appoint a project manager to manage the whole scheme and see it through to completion.
The post is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and Highlands and Islands Enterprise with the project manager to oversee the construction works for the development of the site, establish the campsite business and support the first year of its operation.
According to the Community Company: “The preferred candidate would have experience of managing capital projects with a value of £1m and working with grant making organisations like the Big Lottery Fund, knowledge of green construction projects, experience of running a business, an understanding of tourism and have worked on community projects with volunteers."
This is a full time post for three years on a self-employed basis with a fee of £30,000 per annum. Full details in The Skye Times jobs section.
