One hundred and thirty fiddlers and cellists come together for a sell out event in Sleat tomorrow evening.

Celebrating 30 years of visiting the peninsula, Alasdair Fraser of Scotland and California, will being staging his Mammoth Fiddle event as part of the Skye Festival at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.

The event is part of the annual Fiddle Summer School and Alasdair wants the concert to be an entertaining and fun extravaganza event for the course participants as well as the public. Last year he jammed in well over 100 fiddlers, 30 cellists and some soloists to entertain a full house of excited listeners.

With a wealth of talented tutors, including one of the most sought-after traditional cellists Natalie Haas, alongside Seylan Baxter, Ciarán Ó Maonaigh, Caitlín Nic Gabhann, Louise Douglas, Sarah Naylor, Adam Sutherland and Mairi Britton and other visiting musicians, who knows what might happen this year
