The Young Films Foundation is a not-for-profit company created by Young Films to develop new Scottish writing, directing and producing talent for feature film, TV drama and comedy. Supported by Film4, Channel 4, MG Alba, Creative Scotland, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, The List, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and Torabhaig Distillery.

Chris Young from Young Films said: "We are thrilled to have made the selection today and we look forward to welcoming the six participants to Skye where they’ll have the chance to spend creative time with film and television luminaries such as Robyn Slovo, Iain Morris, Kevin Macdonald, Olivia Hetreed, Nina Gold, David Hayman and many more."

Taking inspiration from schemes like the Sundance Feature Film Programme the YFF aim is to develop new Scottish work by bringing new talent to Skye where they will receive first class guidance as well as the freedom to focus on the creative development of their projects.
