A new website has been launched to bring together the work of three of Portree’s businesses under one on-line heading.
http://shopeatartskye.scot is the brainchild of Lisa and Barry Hawthorn who have created The Isle of Skye Baking Company and Skyeworks Gallery situated in the Old Woollen Mill off the main road out of Portree to the north.
Together the gallery, bakery and its adjacent café offer the perfect opportunity to have an informal lunch, cake and great coffee - all made on site in their hands-on bakery - and to spend some time browsing the largest gallery on Skye.
“There is plenty of free parking and we are truly child friendly,” they say.
Meanwhile “Guillemot Skye is our little sister shop in the heart of Portree. It is a curated boutique focusing on Scottish Highland style, gorgeous Aran and Fair Isle knitwear and quirky gifts.”
Shop Eat Art Skye has been created to enable people to find information about everything they do in one place.
It enables people on-line “to access our websites and social media in one click. And to see all our amazing photos in a dedicated virtual gallery.”
