Combining playtime with Skye's Jurassic heritage is the latest achievement of the Aros Centre.

Construction has begun on a new indoor play facility.  The new developments form part of the Aros Centre's 25th anniversary.

Entitled "Jurassic Island," the facility will have a dedicated party room which can be booked for private parties.  Jurassic Island will also feature a 3-tier soft play frame, reaching 6 metres in height with a 4.2 metres high slide.  Alongside will be a separate pre-school area, with the recurring Jurassic theme.

Donald MacDonald, Managing Director of Aros commented: “We are excited by the prospect of opening a further facility for the community and would welcome the opportunity of working with groups as well as families. Our aim is to develop activities for those of pre-school age, those that want to use the resource during school times and groups that may wish to build a regular programme of activities. We will provide later openings from Friday evenings through the weekend and at holiday periods throughout the year. Seating will be provided for adults within the play-area space where lunch, a cup of tea or snack can be enjoyed.”
