This year’s gruelling 17 mile long Trotternish Ridge Race takes place on Saturday 4th June. Final arrangements for the event, which starts at Flodigarry and finishes at Storr Lochs, are being put in place by Skye and Lochalsh Running Club whose members will help marshal, sweep the route and feed the runners.
Last year’s weather conditions were so poor that the route was cut to 12 miles with some 45 runners who braved the conditions finishing in Glenhinnisdal.
As in previous years the race this time will have a limit of 75 places. Great spots to watch the event include at the Quaraing road and for those who are fit enough on The Storr.
