Walk right in to a brand new business with at least 60,000 would-be customers passing your door every year. That’s the enticing prospect being offered by Skye community company, Carbost Pier Ltd, as they seek a tenant for a brand new building being constructed on a water front site just yards away from the Talisker Distillery Visitor centre.
Due to be completed by August, and available on a ten-year commercial lease beginning in September, the location already has planning permission as a hot-food takeaway but would also be suitable for other retail activities.
In addition to the business side of the project, the building will also accommodate public toilets and showers.
According to the community company, the tenancy will include responsibility for the toilets and showers which will be open to the public from 8am to 10pm every day, including Sundays. Access to the toilets and showers will be via coin-operated locks, the income from which will accrue to the tenant.
The community company say: “We are inviting proposals from prospective tenants who have a sound business proposition and a commitment to operating top-quality public facilities”
