Officers on the Isle of Skye dealt with a number of incidents at the weekend which resulted in three men being reported to the Procurator Fiscal, all of whom are expected to appear at Portree Sheriff Court today (Monday 11th July).
Following reports of a vehicle being stolen from the Clobsha Nan Cuaridhean area of Broadford and subsequently crashed near Kyleakin, a 27 year-old male from the Glasgow area has been charged with road traffic offences and crimes of dishonesty. As a result of investigations carried out into this incident, a number of items of stolen property have been successfully returned to their rightful owners.
A 40 year-old male from Glasgow has also been reported for road traffic and disorder offences in the Staffin area on Saturday evening, during which a female Police Officer sustained minor injuries.
And a 39 year-old male from Sweden has been reported for a road traffic offence following a collision that occurred on the A87 near Druim Na Cloich on Saturday which resulted in two people being taken to hospital for treatment.
