A bed and breakfast establishment on Skye is a finalist in an annual competition to decide the UK's best "Window with a View."
Bars, pubs and hotels from across the country have been selected from hundreds of entries for 11 different regions in the contest run by MyGlazing.com, a consumer advice website that offers support to homeowners looking to invest in glazing.
A judging panel of experts from the glazing, tourism, architecture, photography, construction and interior industries selected the top four images for each area of the UK.
Scalpay View Bed and Breakfast in Broadford is one of four finalists from Scotland.
Now, it is up to the public to decide upon the best view in their region by visiting and voting before the end of July 2017 here.
Each regional winner will then be put forward to win the title of the UK’s Best Window with a View, with voting for the national title running throughout August and September.
James Lee, director of marketing and communications at MyGlazing.com, said: “This is the second year we have run the Window with a View competition and the entries this year have once again been outstanding.
"We have had some exceptional entries from bars, restaurants and coffee shops showcasing both the natural and architectural beauty of the UK.
“Whilst celebrating the sights to UK has to offer, we also wanted the competition to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of modern, clear and energy-efficient glazing.”
Last year’s winner was the window at the People’s Republic gallery at the Museum of Liverpool featuring a view out over the city’s Pier Head, Three Graces and River Mersey.
Since being published this post has been updated to clarify the details of the finalist.
