The Scottish Government backed - Let’s Get Online initiative – comes to Portree this week.
On Friday (July 8) a team will be in community library to provide one-to-one free informal internet sessions and printed advice to assist the local people to make the most of the internet and all that it entails.
Let’s Get Online spokesperson, Kristin Wyman said: “The Scottish Government has an ambition for Scotland to be a world leading digital nation – we want to show the people of Scotland that being online can provide a better quality of life through improved education, health, wealth and reducing social isolation.
“The campaign is designed to show people the real benefits of being online, how it can enhance and transform their lives. We’re looking to build on the success of the 2015 campaign and that’s why we are taking the free informal internet sessions back on the road in 2016.”
