A clean up at Balmacara Beach on Friday May 12 resulted in the removal of 10 bin bags full of rubbish.

The rubbish included bits of rope, plastic bottles, plastic bags, netting, crisp packets, broken fish boxes, empty beer cans, bottle tops, a plastic seat, spent shot gun cartridges and the handle of a paint brush.

A group from Kyleakin Connections worked to clear the beach of the rubbish.

Skye Marine Matters praised their efforts as they used the Surfers Against Sewage Beach Clean Box, a community resource to assist in running a beach clean up.
