The Scottish Food Awards have issued a complete list of the 2017 winners.  On May 7, the dinner event, Awards for Places, was held at the King's Hall in Edinburgh.

Companies on the Isle of Skye, including Skeabost Hotel, Duisdale House Hotel, Scorrybreac Restaurant, Kinloch Lodge, Just Hooked, Rosedale Hotel and The Three Chimneys, received recognition for their services.  It is stated that the list could be subject to change until May 12.  

Skeabost Hotel's West Pier Restaurant received a commendation for the Contemporary Dining Destination 2017 category. The Hotel also won the Design Award 2017.  

The Three Chimneys and House Over-By won the Restaurant With Rooms of the Year Award 2017.  The Three Chimneys also won one of the Real & Local Food Gold Medals 2017, along with Duisdale House Hotel.  Duisdale House Hotel also received recognition as The Style Restaurant of the Year 2017.  

Just Hooked, based at Portree, was mentioned as Fishmongers of the Year 2017.

The Porridge Gold Medal 2017 was awarded to Kinloch Lodge.  The Lodge also won The Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year 2017 award.  

The Rosedale Hotel at Portree was the Highlands and Islands winner of The Rising Star 2017 award.  

One of the Flavours of Scotland Medals 2017 went to Portree-based restaurant, Scorrybreac.
