Over £2,000 was raised on the Welly Walk on Saturday 6 May in aid of RNLI.  

Press secretary, Cathy Freeman, state: "On Saturday May 6th, members of Portree Lifeboat Fundraisers and Crew walked from Sligachan to Portree to raise money for the RNLI.  They had a wonderful day and raised £2021.00. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to walk and the time to stop and donate, and a special thank you goes to HM Coastguard for the much needed escort.  Your time and money is much appreciated."
