Anyone heading to Sleat by road will soon be met by an eye-catching new sign.

The "Welcome to Sleat" sign has now been erected on the side of the A851 heading south from Broadford.

The sign lists just some of Sleat's attractions, including accommodation, good food, arts and crafts, Armadale Castle Gardens, Museum, walks, wildlife, events, shops, Post Offices, Gaelic college and the ferry.

The sign also directs people to the Visit Sleat website at www.visitsleat.org

Visit Sleat say: "We are grateful, as always to Peter McDermott of McDermott Creative, Frank, Scott and the team at A2Z Signs in Inverness and Colin Simpson, Tourism and Film Manager, the Highland Council. Sincere thanks.  Welcome to Sleat/Fàilte gu Slèite!"
