Coast Guard and lifeboat staff were involved in two island emergencies off the coast of Skye.

In an Easter Sunday incident Ambulance Control requested assistance with a casualty evacuation from Rassay which resulted in Portree Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) helping  transfer the individual to a waiting ambulance after being brought to port by Portree RNLI.

In a seperate incident the alarm was raised over concerns about a man on the Isle of Eigg.

Eigg CRT paged to respond however further information received by mobile phone confirmed that casualty was safe and well.
