Skye and Lochalsh Running Club's Kingsburgh Forest Handicap gave some fresh faces a chance to enjoy a moment of glory.

For with the normally fastest runners senting off last some of the slower competitors in this year's winter series found themselves leading the way.

On the day first place was taken by Alexander Tindall with Stephanie Rossiter second and third sport going to Andi Dunkel.
The handicap was over a five mile course covering forest road and track.

After the event on Saturday (1st April) the club on social media said: "Thanks to everyone who came along for the Kingsburgh Forest Handicap race today - apart from a small amount of moaning about start times/average paces (you know who you are  ;) !!) it went very well!

"Everyone beat or equalled their expected finish times worked out from previous races so well done to you all."
