College chiefs keen to continue to support community learning are inviting the public along when they meet in Portree next week.

On Tuesday 28 June from 2pm the Board of Management of West Highland College UHI will gather at its Struan Road campus to discuss a number of issues including how to replace lost funding.

The informal drop-in session is the chance for local people to have their say.

In an open letter to local community organisations, Chair of the Board, John Hutchison, said: “As we are reviewing our curriculum for Skye just now, your input would be particular valuable for this.

“You may know too that we are looking for ideas of ways in which to continue to support community learning now that High Life Highland funding is no longer available and your thoughts on this would be very welcome.”
