The last race in this year’s winter series held by Skye and Lochalsh running club takes place this Saturday (Mar 4th)

The Sconser 10k road will once again take place place along the Moll road to Sconser, offering great views and a few twists and turns along the way.

Registration is at Sconser Golf Club 11.00 - 11.45am, race begins at the Moll road end at 12 noon. Cost £5 (SLRC £1). Food to follow!

And while the official series will then be over the running club are planning one last event for the winter.

A “handicap” race is to be held over a course of around five miles at Kingsburgh Forest with good track and paths.

Entrants will be started off related to their average pace worked out from the other races from the series, for those who haven’t taken part times will be sorted.  The idea is that the faster runners set off last and try to catch up with those set off earlier - a great incentive to push yourself and not let anyone past!

Registration at Kingsburgh Forest, just south of Glenhinnisdal turn off the Portree-Uig road at 11.30am, race starts at 12 noon. Cost is £5 (SLRC £1). All welcome (over-16s only).
