Attempts were expected to be made later today (December 30) to refloat a grounded yacht in Portree Harbour.

Local RNLI crew were called out shortly after 11am when the alert was raised after the boat was spotted at Cuddy Point following overnight windy conditions.

Because of the position of the vessel it was decided to wait for the incoming tide in order to secure it to another mooring. RNLI hope to carry out the re-float at around 5.30pm today
